ROBERT G. MOORE

Capt. Robert G. Moore of Greenbrae, a retired Navy intelligence officer, died unexpectedly Sunday at Marin General Hospital after an illness. He was 82.

Capt. Moore was born in White Plains, N. Y., and lived most of his life in San Francisco until moving to Marin 30 years ago.

He graduated from Stanford University in 1926 and worked as a retail credit investigator before starting his 25-year Navy career in 1940. He was a special agent in the Office of Naval Intelligence.

He was a member of Mill Valley Masonic Lodge 356, Islam Temple in San Francisco, California Body of the Scottish Rite and a past president of Marin Branch 7 of the Sons in Retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Moore of Greenbrae; two daughters, Nancy Bell of San Rafael and Marcia McGuirk of Millbrae; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Arrangements are being handled by the Neptune Society in San Rafael.

His family asked that memorial contributions go to a favorite charity.
