DAVID R. SHIELDS
David R. Shields, a former longtime San Rafael resident, died Wednesday at his home in Santa Rosa. He was 70.
Mr. Shields had worked for 43 years at Macy’s department store.
He was born in Sonoma County and had lived in San Rafael for many years before he retired and moved to Santa Rosa.
He is survived by his wife, Fredna; three daughters, Susan Shields and Sandra Richards, both of Santa Rosa, and Sharon Fierro of Camp Meeker, Sonoma County; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be private.
The family prefers memorial donations to the American Heart Association or a favorite charity.
