Untimely Death Of Mrs. Ella Cook Is Shock to Community

Mrs. Ella Cook, principal of the Fairfax schools, died Friday afternoon at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco. She was ill only a short time, and her death was a distinct shock to the community.

Mrs. Cook was the daughter of the late James and Mrs. McCormic, who first operated the Blue Rock Hotel, in Larkspur.

Surviving is Mrs. Cook’s husband, Walter Cook, and three sisters, Mrs. Blaine Sheldon, Winship Park; Claire and Alice McCormick, Larkspur.

Mrs. Cook was held in high regard as a teacher and resident of the county. While teaching she made her home in Larkspur.

Funeral service was held Monday from the McCormic residence, Larkspur, at 9 a.m., thence to St. Patrick’s church, Larkspur.

Interment was private.
