JOHN B. RUNNELS

John B. Runnels of Tiburon, a retired salesman for White Motor Co., died Monday at Letterman Army Hospital in San Francisco. He was 72.

Mr. Runnels was born in Green City, Mo.

He attended Kemper Military Academy in Missouri and was a graduate of the University of Missouri.

Mr. Runnels was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

He was a retired salesman for White Motor Co., a truck manufacturer.

Mr. Runnels also was a retired lieutenant colonel with the Air Force Reserves.

His survivors include his wife, Charlotte Runnels of Tiburon; two sons, John Runnels Jr. of Sonoma and Guy Runnels of Sacramento; his mother, Madeline Runnels of Tiburon; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were pending at Russell & Gooch mortuary in Mill Valley.

The family prefers contributions to paramedic service in Southern Marin.
