SEBASTIANO T. FAORO
Sebastiano T. (Sam) Faoro, a 39-year resident of San Anselmo, died yesterday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 79.
Born in Italy, Faoro was a member of the Italian Army Alpine Corp in World War I, winning medals for valor and finally being wounded and captured by Germans.
Faoro came to the United States in 1923, and moved to San Anselmo in 1944 with his wife, Lena. He lived at 9 Tamal Avenue.

FAORO – In San Anselmo, Nov. 18, 1973, Sebastiano T. (San) Faoro, beloved husband of Lena Faoro; devoted father of Mrs. Eleanor Snellgrove of Carson City, Nev.; Mrs. Irene Lorento of San Anselmo and Almo Cordone of Davis; loving grandfather of Robert and Natalie Snellgrove, Luisa, Christopher and John Boatwright, Lynn, Lesllie, Lisa and Domic Cordone. A native of Arsie, Province of Belluno, Italy. Aged 79. A member of the Italian Catholic Federation, and Plasters and Cement Workers Union Local No. 355.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1973 at 9 a.m. at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo, thence to St. Anselm’s Church where a Mass of the Resurrection will be offered commencing at 9:30 a.m. Entombment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael. Recitation of the Rosary Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Chapel of the Hills.
