Sausalito Women’s Club Founder Dies
Mrs. Edna A. Gilbert, 89, a founder of the Sausalito Women’s Club, died yesterday at a private home in San Francisco.
A resident of San Rafael at 1607 Fifth avenue the past ten years, she was noted for her work in the club and in the Christian Science church which she helped organize in Sausalito.
A native of Iowa, she was a resident of Sausalito for about 40 years. During World War II she was active in the Grey Ladies. She was a member of the Christian Science church of San Rafael.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Keaton’s mortuary, San Rafael. Inurnment will be private.
Mrs. Gilbert leaves a son, William R. Gilbert of San Francisco; and two brothers, James and Roy Roach. Her husband, William Gilbert, preceded her in death.
