Mason For 55 Years Called To Last Rest
In his 83d year, Philip Henry Hicks, a member of the Masonic order for 55 years, passed away Monday at his home in Lansdale after an illness of several years.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at Sawyer’s Parlors, under the auspices of Marin Lodge No. 191, F. and A. M.
Mr. Hicks joined the Masonic order as a member of Apollo Lodge No. 13, in Troy, N.Y., 55 years ago. A short time ago he received a valuable memento of his long connection with the fraternity from his lodge members.
He had been a resident of California for about 10 years, during most of which time he had suffered from a paralytic affliction. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Hicks and the father of Lillian N. Hurlburt of El Centro, Cal., and William H. Hicks Jr.
