San Rafael Pioneer Dies At 76 Years
Mrs. Mary McDonnell, a resident of San Rafael for nearly forty years, died at her home on Second street, Monday night at the age of 76 years.
Mrs. McDonnell came to Marin county in the 70s and had lived here continuously ever since. Up to the day of her death her remembrance of the early days was keen and clear. She was the widow of the late William McDonnell, and the sister-in-law of Jerry McCarthy.
The funeral will take place today at St. Raphael’s church under the direction of Dr. F. E. Sawyer, and a requiem mass will be said for the repose of her soul. Burial will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
