EVA MARY EKLUND
Eva Mary Eklund, a longtime San Rafael resident, died Thursday at Ross General Hospital. She was 78.
Mrs. Eklund was born in Switzerland and had lived in San Rafael for more than 55 years.
She worked as a salesperson at Ella Josephs’s.
She was a member of the Young Ladies Institute for more than 50 years and also belonged to St. Raphael’s Church.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur R. Eklund of San Rafael; a daughter, Janet June Biederman of San Rafael; four brothers, Siro Mattei of Lakeport, George Mattei and Henry Mattei both of Santa Rosa and Lee Mattei of San Diego; and two sisters, Juanita Hall of Santa Rosa and Lillian Reichmuth of Cotati.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rafael’s Church in San Rafael.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 8 tonight at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity.
