Judge Morrow’s Kin Dies In Battle

News of the tragic death of 20-year-old Robert Morrow, a private in the Royal Irish Fusiliers, while carrying the wounded from the debris of the trenches wrecked by big guns, has been received by Judge William W. Morrow of the U. S. Circuit Court, in a note from Rev. David Morrow, the boy’s uncle.

The boy was shot on April 26 at Messines, France. Two weeks before, he had been awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery on the battlefield. He did not live to receive the reward of valor, and it was later presented to his mother. The first act of Richard Morrow, eldest brother of the gallant Ulsterman, after the news of the death reached him, was to join the Twelfth Inniskillen Fusiliers.
