FLOYD CLINTON DE LAP

Floyd Clinton De Lap, who was born and lived most of his life in San Rafael, died Thursday at his home in San Rafael.

Mr. De Lap was 72.

He attended Heald College in San Francisco and was a graduate of San Rafael High School.

He had worked as an engineer for Lockheed Aircraft Co. in Southern California, retiring 12 years ago and moving back to San Rafael.

In the 1960s, Mr. De Lap was managing director of the Marin Visitors Bureau. He was a member of the San Rafael Elks Club, Loch Lomond Yacht Club and Marin Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving are his wife, Vivien; a son, Stephen De Lap of Santa Rosa; and two grandchildren.

At his request, no services are planned. The family has asked that memorial contributions be sent to a favorite charity.
