JOHN McWHORTER
A private service has been held for John Wesley McWhorter who died Thursday at his San Rafael home after an illness. He was 83.
Mr. McWhorter, born in Illinois, is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Jensen of San Mateo; a son, John Jay McWhorter of San Anselmo; a brother, Jimmy McWhorter; two sisters, Lilly Walsh and Goldie Hook, all of Illinois; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Dorothy McWhorter.
Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery of San Rafael.
