Woman Known Here Dies In Ukiah
Death claimed a good woman Friday when Mrs. Jeannette Langren, of Ukiah, passed away at her home there after an illness of some months. She had a host of friends in the city of her residence as well as here, where she was well known through her visits with relatives and her fraternal connections.
She had been a member of Kingsley Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, for many years, and had held the office of Sentinel for more than a decade. The tenets and teachings of the order had become a part of her life, and her good deeds were not limited to those who had special claims through fraternal relations to her favors. In the 13 years that she had been an office holder in the Chapter, Mrs. Langren had been absent at but five meetings.
The remains were removed to San Rafael last Monday following services in Ukiah, and are now at Sawyer’s Parlors pending burial in Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.
Mrs. Langren, who was 69 years of age, is survived by her husband, August Langren, and the following children: George Gansz, of Oregon City, Ore.; Mrs. Lena Harrah, of Yolando; Mrs. L. E. Warden, of San Rafael, and Mrs. Charles Pratt of San Francisco.
