KATIE MALONE
Katie MALONE, a 55-year resident of Sausalito prior to moving to Santa Rosa in 1965, died yesterday in a Santa Rosa hospital following a long illness. She was 76.
Mrs. Malone was a native of Waudima County, Minn., and spent her childhood in Tacoma, Wash. In 1910, her father moved the family of 10 children to Sausalito, where Mrs. Malone met her husband, Alfred G. Malone, a marine engineer, now retired, who at one time worked for Northwestern Pacific Railroad.
A member of the San Rafael, Fairfax and Corte Madera senior citizen's clubs, she was also a member of an organization of retired railroad employees in Santa Rosa.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, B. Albert Malone of Mill Valley, Francis B. Malone of Cotati, Sirick W. Malone of Corona, Riverside County, and Alfred S. Malone of Oxnard, Ventura County; two sisters, Esther Detels of San Anselmo and Elsa Wendler of San Rafael; a brother, Donald Buckley of San Rafael, and ten grandchildren.
Funeral will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Lafferty and Smith Colonial Chapel, 4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, with Capt. John H. Carr of the Salvation Army officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Santa Rosa Memorial Park Cemetery.
