MARZELL PERKINS COUNTESS

The funeral for Marzell Perkins Countess, a former Marin City resident, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles P. Bannon mortuary in Richmond.

Ms. Countess, who was 50, died Friday at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

She had lived in Rohnert Park about 12 years.

For 15 years, she had worked at The Tamalpais retirement home in Greenbrae.

She was born in El Dorado, Ark., and moved to California about 25 years ago. She had lived in Marin City for about 10 years in the late 1960s and early 1970s, before moving to Rohnert Park.

Survivors are a friend, Daniel Winters of Rohnert Park; three aunts, Mattie Johnson of Oakland, Ruth Stewart of Vallejo, and Doshia Hatter of Oakland.

Quiet hour will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the Charles P. Bannon mortuary, 6800 East 14th St., Oakland.

Burial will be at Rolling Hills Memorial Park in Richmond.
