Former Resident Dies Across Bay
John W. Williams, who will be recalled by many of San Rafael’s older generation as a resident here some years ago, passed away last Friday in San Francisco. Years ago Williams had charge of the installation of the vaults in Hotaling’s Bank. Several other jobs here of an important nature were under his direction.
He was a member of many fraternal orders and well known in lodge circles. He held membership in Pacific Lodge No. 136, F. & A. M.; California Chapter No. 5, R. A. M.; California Commandery, No. 1, K. T.; Islam Temple, A. A. O. N. M. S., and San Francisco Lodge No. 206, L. O. O. M.
The funeral was held Monday under the auspices of Pacific Lodge No. 136.
