SYLVESTER MALONE
Requiem Mass for Sylvester E. (Jack) Malone, a former resident of Corte Madera, will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Boniface Church, San Francisco, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Malone died Saturday in a San Francisco hospital after a long illness.
A native of Paterson, N.J., he moved to Corte Madera in 1922, after serving in the Merchant Marine. He lived in Marin for about 20 years before moving to San Francisco.
For many years he was a civilian employee with the Army. He was also an umpire for semi-professional baseball games in Larkspur. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Frank Rea of Larkspur and a brother, Harry Malone of Belmont
