SARAH ANN FOLGER
A private funeral will be held for Sarah Ann Folger of Belvedere, an actress and director of the Folger Foundation.
Mrs. Folger, who was known as Ann, died Monday at her home in Belvedere after an illness of several months. She was 57.
A native of San Francisco, she was a fifth generation Californian. Her great-great-grandfather founded the Folger Coffee Company in 1850.
Mr. Folger attended University of California at Berkeley. She worked on stage and in broadcasting. Mrs. Folger had been a talk show hostess on a Philadelphia television station.
She had also been a radio newswoman in New York City where she lived from 1963 until moving to Belvedere in 1982.
Mrs. Folger was a member of the Marin Tennis Club and also belonged to a variety of professional theatrical organizations.
She is survived by a son, Dean Hanger; a daughter, Susan Hanger; a sister, Jane Allen; and three grandchildren.
