ELIZABETH WALKER
A funeral for Elizabeth Jones Walker of Marin City was held in San Francisco Thursday. Mrs. Walker, 78, died Monday at Marin General Hospital.
She was born in Springfield, Mo., and came to California as a young woman. Before moving to California, she had graduated from Madame C. T. Walker’s School of Beauty and Culture in Kansas City, Mo.
In the Bay Area, she worked in the shipyards before moving to Marin City. In Marin City, she was active in the Village Baptist Church.
Both her husband, Ruben Walker, and her only son preceded her in death. She is survived by a sister, Gladys O’Neal of Springfield, Mo.
Mrs. Walker will be buried in Hazelwood Cemetery in her hometown in Missouri.
