Mad Bull Gores Man To Death
Attacked by an infuriated bull, Antonio Cardozo, a dairyman employed on the Novato Land Company’s home ranch, was gored to death early Saturday morning before his cries for help were heard by his fellow workmen.
The huge animal was know to be of a savage nature, and a year ago he was dehorned to prevent his goring the ranch hands. Shortly after the tragedy Saturday the animal attacked another man, who escaped injury by running. The vicious animal was shot Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Cardozo was 53 years of age and was well known in Novato. For years he was in charge of the Atherton dairy. He was a brother-in-law of Frank Silva, a merchant of Novato. He was a member of the I.D.E.S. and the U.P.E.C. lodges.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Novato Catholic church and was largely attended.
