CECELIA D. ROHDE
A memorial service for Cecelia D. Rohde of Novato, a former longtime Fairfax resident, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Civic Center Chapel of Wilson & Kratzer Mortuary in Richmond.
Mrs. Rohde died Tuesday at Novato Community Hospital after a long illness She was 85.
She was born in Berkeley and lived there until moving to Fairfax. She spent 23 years there before moving to Novato a year ago.
Mrs. Rohde was a homemaker. During World War II she worked for the Maritime Commission at the Richmond shipyards. She was also known as an accomplished seamstress and interior designer.
Her husband, William F. Rohde, died in 1981.
She is survived by a son, Warren J. Kellogg of Novato; a daughter, Georgia A. Peterson of Novato; a brother, George Grimshaw of El Cerrito; nine grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
