MILTON BROMBERG

A funeral for Milton Bromberg of Kentfield, a longtime supporter of Republican Party causes, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ross.

Mr. Bromberg died unexpectedly Friday at Marin General Hospital. He was 62.

He was born in New Jersey and had lived in Marin since 1953. He was an engineering graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and worked as a manufacturer’s representative.

Mr. Bromberg was a past chairman of the Marin Republican Council and had been very active in fund-raising for Republican candidates and causes.

He was also a co-founder in Marin of “Up with People,” the group of singing young people who now perform on a worldwide basis.

Mr. Bromberg served as a director of the Kent Woodlands Homeowners Association and had been active raising funds for the former San Rafael Military Academy. He was an avid tennis player and belonged to Oakland Athletic Club.

He is survived by his wife, Elly Bromberg of Kentfield; a son, Kirk Bromberg of Manhattan Beach; a daughter, Lisa Morgan of Long Beach; and a sister, Ruth Stott of Connecticut.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to Asthma and Allergy Foundation of Northern California or to a favorite charity.
