Sergeant Charles H. Thompson, of Novato, was killed in action in France September 27th. This word was received Tuesday by his mother, Mrs. Barbara Thompson. Thompson was a practicing attorney before his enlistment. He leaves a widow in Oregon.

The sad news of the death of Sergeant Chas. H. Thomson, reached his widowed mother, Mrs. Basha L. Thomson, early Wednesday morning. He was killed in action in France, September 27. Sergeant Thomson was the only son of the late Dr., and Mrs. Thomson, a graduate of the University of California, and a promising young lawyer.
