BERTHA J. WELTMER
The funeral for Bertha J. Weltmer of Novato will be held today at 4 p.m. at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato. Mrs. Weltmer died Thursday at the Hill Road Convalescent Hospital in Novato at the age of 90.
She was born in Maryland and had lived in Marin since 1962.
Mrs. Weltmer was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Velma Bishop of Petaluma; a son, Robert Weltmer of Novato; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert A. Weltmer, died in 1959.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. Her family asked that memorial contributions go to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in San Francisco.
