S. F. Hunter Drops Dead In Hills
John Moran, one of the party of hunters composed of San Rafael and S.F. men in camp near Spy Rock, Mendocino county, dropped dead last Thursday from heart trouble. The attack occurred when Moran was about four miles from camp.
In the party are District Attorney Butler, Sheriff J. J. Keating and his brother, Dan Keating, of San Francisco. Moran was president of the Western Horse Market in San Francisco and was widely known.
Missing their companion, the small party out in the hills at the time of the sad event, searched for two hours before they found the body. The inquest was held at Spy Rock and the remains shipped to San Francisco for burial. The hunters will return tomorrow.
