GREGORY KENT SOLON
Historical novelist Gregory Kent Solon died Wednesday at his home in San Francisco after a short illness. He was 62.
Mr. Solon, whose four children live in Marin, was well known for a variety of historical works.
His novels included “The Three Legions” in 1956 and “Let Us Find Heroes” in 1960.
He was awarded the Silver Star for his service as a tail gunner with the Ninth Air Force in World War II.
Solon is survived by his wife, Anne-Marie Solon of San Francisco; three sons, Alan Solon of Greenbrae and Robert and Lawrence Solon of Ross; and two daughters, Denise Siboni of Paris, France, and Odette Martin of Ross.
