Cleveland L. Dam of Mill Valley Dies

Cleveland L. Dam, one of Mill Valley’s most prominent citizens, and for years an attorney in San Francisco, died suddenly in Mill Valley late Sunday night from heart trouble.

The sudden attack came when Dam, experiencing trouble with his automobile, alighted to crank the machine. It is believed that over exertion taxed his heart and brought the death which the deceased had known for some time was imminent.

Cleveland Lincoln Dam had taken a very prominent part in the development of Marin county interests, having held for some years the office of president of the Marin County Real Estate Board. For many years he had acted as counsellor-at-law for P. H. McCarthy, former mayor of San Francisco.

The funeral was held at N. Gray’s parlors in San Francisco. He was a brother of the late H. J. W. Dam, and is survived by a widow, Mrs. Rose Lee Dam. He was 52 years of age.
