DEBBIE PAYNE
A memorial service for Debbie Payne of Santa Rosa, a former San Rafael resident, will be held today at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Santa Rosa.
Miss Payne died Thursday at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Santa Rosa. She was 27.
She was a native of San Rafael and graduated from San Rafael High School in 1976. After attending University of California at San Diego, she moved to Santa Rosa.
Miss Payne had worked for five years as an accounting specialist in the regional office of the National Cash Register Co. in Santa Rosa.
She was very active in athletic groups in Santa Rosa and belonged to the women’s soccer and softball leagues.
She is survived by her father, Jack Payne of Santa Rosa, and two sisters, Regina Paulsen and Rae Horn, both of Santa Rosa. Her mother, Geraldine Payne, died previously.
The family prefers that contributions be made to the Heart Association.
