CZAR SMITH WINTERS
A funeral for Czar Smith Winters of Santa Rosa, a former Terra Linda resident, was to be held this morning at the Star of the Valley Catholic Church in Oakmont. Mr. Winters, 85, died Friday at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Utah. He moved to Sonoma from Marin County in 1980.
He practiced law in the Bay Area and was a member of the California Bar Association.
He was a director of the Oakmont Homeowners Association.
He is survived by a brother, Blaine Winters of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Rhea W. Budge of Logan, Utah; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter. His wife, Margaret Winters, died earlier.
Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the father of the late Lanna W. Dougherty, and grandfather of Erin Dougherty Muha of Walnut Creek and great-grandfather of Michelle Alanna Muha of Walnut Creek. He was also survived by a nephew, Dr. W. M. Roger Budge of San Rafael, and many nieces and nephews in Utah.
