ROBERT A. McLENNAN

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert A. McLennan of Mill Valley will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Mill Valley.

Mr. McLennan died Saturday at Marin General Hospital after a long illness. He was 87.

He was born in Winnipeg, Canada where he was a freelance artist engaged in commercial work.

Mr. McLennan moved to California in 1928. During World War II he began work in the electrical trade which he continued for many years.

He was known for his interest in politics and California history, especially the era of General Mariano Vallejo.

His wife, Alma Vallejo McLennan, was the granddaughter of General Vallejo. She died in 1962.

Mr. McLennan had been a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for many years.

He is survived by a stepdaughter, Paloma Boyden of West Sacramento; a sister, Helen McLennan of Winnipeg; and a brother, John McLennan of Winnipeg.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valloey. Burial will be at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in Colma.

The family prefers that memorial gifts be made to the League of Concerned, 34 Buena Vista Ave., Mill Valley 94941.
