SYLVIA JAMES
A funeral for Sylvia James of Novato will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato. Mrs. James, 66, died Monday at Novato Community Hospital.
She was born in Pennsylvania. She moved to California in 1967 and Marin from Del Norte County in August.
Mrs. James was a poet.
She is survived by a son, Michael D. Maples of Novato; a daughter, Sandra McMaster of Lincoln, Neb.; her father, Earl Dillie of Washington, Penn.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation at the mortuary is set for noon to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be private.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that she was the daughter of the late Gay Dillie, and grandmother of Laurie McMaster, Bradley, Vincent, Russell and Christine Maples.
