JOHN WYNN
John Wynn, a longtime insurance company employee and resident of Mill Valley, died Tuesday at Marin General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was 53 years old.
Mr. Wynn had worked in the insurance business for 30 years. Most recently, he was property underwriter manager for Transamerica Insurance Co.
He was born in Spokane, Wash., and lived in California and elsewhere with his military family. He had lived in Mill Valley since 1947.
For many years, he had coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams in Mill Valley.
Mr. Wynn is survived by his wife, Annette; a son, John Wynn of Woodlake, Tulare County; three daughters, Luann and Laurie Wynn, both of Mill Valley, and Cynthia Juster of Larkspur; and a brother, William Wynn of Seattle, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Russell and Gooch mortuary in Mill Valley.
The family has asked that donations in his memory be sent to the Marin Diabetes Association of the Marin Suicide Prevention Center.
