George Goodrich Dies of Heart Trouble
George M. Goodrich, for twenty-six years a guard at San Quentin, died suddenly Tuesday night after coming off duty at the prison. He was 54 years of age and one of the best liked employees at the institution.
The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at St. Raphael’s Church, under the direction of Dr. F. W. Sawyer, and burial will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
The deceased leaves a widow, Mrs. Sadie J. Goodrich, one son, George, and three daughters, Ethel, Bernice and Martha. He had been a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West for 15 years.
