WILLIAM P. THIEN

William P. Thien, 71, an old-time resident and retired rancher of Novato, died yesterday in a local hospital after a sudden illness. He was a native of Kenosha, Wisc. He and his wife were custodians of the Novato Community House.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Anna Thien, and two daughters, Mrs. Gunnar Anderson, and Mrs. Cyril Bihn. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Bussek, Mrs. Caroline Chediser and Mrs. Elizabeth Newton and five grandchildren.

He was a member of the Alameda council No. 1658 of the Knights of Columbus. The K. of C. No. 1292 of San Rafael will meet tomorrow night at 8 to recite rosary services at Keaton’s mortuary in San Rafael.

The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 at Keaton’s. Services will be recited at Our Lady of Loretto church, Novato at 9:30 with a requiem mass. Interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery, San Rafael.
