Attorney Found Dead At Home
San Francisco attorney Lawrence Kuechler was found dead at his Sleepy Hollow home yesterday, apparently having taken his own life by shooting himself in the head.
Kuechler’s wife, Betty, found him dead when she came home from shopping at 12:55 p.m., according to the coroner’s office. A 22-caliber rifle was on the floor near Keuchler’s body, which was in a chair in the family room.
Kuechler, 62, had been in ill health recently, according to the coroner.
In addition to his wife, of the family home at 2 Dutch Valley Lane, survivors include a stepson, Robert Mariani of Kentfield.
Funeral arrangements were pending at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
