John Finn of Mill Valley Succumbs

John Finn, former Mill Valley councilman and for years active in civic affairs of that community, died Saturday night at his home after an illness of two months. He had lived in Mill Valley for more than 30 years.

Born in Cortland, New York, 81 years ago, Mr. Finn was the inventor of a sheet metal process widely used in construction work. He established the John Finn Sheet Metal Works in San Francisco which is now operated by his sons. He had retired from active business a year ago.

Surviving him are four daughters, Mrs. George L. Rodgers, Mrs. William A. Marcus, Mrs. Theodore C. Wellman and Mrs. Frederick White, and four sons, Charles, Robert, Richard and John Finn, Jr.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in San Francisco. The body lay at the mortuary of Keaton and Dusel until Tuesday afternoon.
