P. ROSS WELLS

Engineer P. Ross Wells of Santa Venetia died yesterday of pneumonia, a few hours after being admitted to a local hospital. He was 49.

Wells, who had developed a cold last Tuesday, was taken to the hospital yesterday morning by a neighbor when he was stricken with severe abdominal pain, according to Deputy Corner William Bradley.

Bradley said results of an autopsy showed the cause of death to be lobar pneumonia.

Wells, who lived at 812 Estancia Way, is survived by his wife, Frieda Cora, and two children, Jon Ross, 17, and Carol Louise, 10.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael.
