JOHN WILBOURN
Funeral services will be held Wednesday noon for John Wilbourn of Marin City, who died Thursday at a Livermore hospital following a long illness.
Wilbourn worked as a shoe shine operator at the Rafael Barber Shop in San Rafael up to his illness eight months ago. Prior to that position he worked 20 years in Marin as a laborer.
He lived at A-7, Apt. 56. He was 71.
Born in Waco, Texas, Wilbourn came to California 30 years ago and lived in Marin for the past 20 years. He was a member of Laborers Construction and General Hodcarriers Local Union 291 of San Rafael.
Surviving him is his wife, Ella Wilbourn; a stepson, George Graham of San Francisco; a sister, Nonie Faye Wilbourn, and two brothers, James and Hezekiah Wilbourn, all of Waco, and five grandchildren and one great grandson.
Arrangements are being made by the Butler Funeral Home in San Francisco. Funeral services will be at the Community Lounge in Marin City under the auspices of the Church of God. Interment will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
