JOSEPH M. INGRASSIA
A private Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph M. Ingrassia of San Anselmo, the original owner of New Joe’s restaurant in San Francisco, will be held Saturday at St. Anselm’s Church in San Anselmo.
Mr. Ingrassia, 78, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home.
He was a native of San Francisco and worked in the restaurant business there for 37 years. He retired about 15 years ago.
He moved to Marin County in the late 1940s.
He belonged to the Meadow and Elks Clubs in San Rafael and Olympic Club in San Francisco. He also enjoyed golfing.
Mr. Ingrassia is survived by his wife, Ann M. Ingrassia of San Anselmo; a son, Gaeton Ingrassia of Corte Madera; a daughter, Carolyn Peters of San Anselmo; four sisters, Angelina Fambrini, Josephine Venturini, and Grace Lococo, all of San Francisco, and Stella Guglielmo of San Anselmo; and five grandchildren.
Burial will be at the Italian Cemetery in Colma.
The family prefers memorial contributions to a favorite charity.
