Matthew Resendes
Funeral services were held today (Thursday) for Matthew Resendes, at Santa Rosa, with a requiem mass said at the Catholic Church there, and interment in that city.
Resendes passed away last Saturday night in a hospital there, after an illness of three days, during which he suffered from a heart ailment. A week ago last Tuesday Resendes suffered a slight laceration of the head, when he fell, while at his work on the C ranch near Novato, operated by Manuel Freitas. This, however, is believed to [have] had no connection with his ailing heart and his death.
Mr. Resendes, age 46, for the past 12 years, has been a cow tester for the San Rafael Dairy Herd Improvement Association, and he was the first tester of the group.
He leaves his father, Manuel Resendes of Santa Rosa; three sisters, Mrs. Anita McKisson and Mrs. Claire Ryno, Sacramento; Mrs. Virginia Harris; brother, Jackson Resendes. He was a native of California and not married.
