CHARLES E. PERI
The Mass of Christian Burial for Charles E. Peri of Fairfax, a Fairfax tavern owner for a half century, will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Fairfax.
Mr. Peri died Saturday at Northgate Convalescent Hospital in Terra Linda after a long illness. He was 82.
Mr. Peri, a native of San Francisco, had lived most of his life in Fairfax. For 50 years, he was owner of Peri’s, a popular tavern in Fairfax. He was a member of the Bartender’s Culinary Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Peri.
Survivors are a son, Charles A. Peri of San Anselmo; a sister, Dorothy Maggio of Fairfax; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.

A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was the brother of the late Andy Peri, and grandfather of Reggie, Michael, Dominica, Charles and Andrew Peri, and great-grandfather of Joshua Peri.
