Samuel Duncan Dies At Age Of Seventy
An illness of many weeks resulted last Friday morning in the death of Samuel Montgomery Duncan at his home, 19 Wolfe avenue.
The deceased was the son of Samuel Duncan, Sr., the founder of Duncan’s Mills, Sonoma county, and for many years was a business man in San Francisco. He had resided here continuously since the fire of 1906.
He was 70 years of age and is survived by a widow, Florence B. Duncan, and the following children: Mrs. William Knowles, Mrs. George English, Mrs. L. G. Loupe, Mrs. J. M. Spinning, Elsie S. and Clark Duncan. He was the father of the late Mrs. W. W. Cochrane.
The funeral services were held Saturday at Sawyer’s Parlors, and the remains were cremated in the afternoon in Oakland.
