EMILY APPLEBY
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Fairfax Community Church on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard for Emily Appleby, a longtime Marin resident and former teacher.
Mrs. Appleby died Tuesday at her home in San Anselmo. He had lived in Marin for 13 years.
She had been a teacher at the Montessori School in Ross and more recently had worked as a clerk at Safeway.
Surviving are three sons, Dan and Wes Hurst of San Francisco and Jeff Hurst of Santa Barbara; her parents, William and Irene Appleby of Wisconsin; a sister, Kathy Appleby-Knoll of Florida; a brother, William Appleby of Clear Lake; and one grandson.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael, 94903.
