Wealthy Marin Man Dies at Home Here
George David Boyd passed away at his home in Culloden Park last Friday, the victim of an affliction from which he had been suffering for a number of years. The physicians in attendance pronounced it uraemic poison caused by diabetes.
The deceased was one of Marin county’s wealthiest and most prominent men. For many years he had made his summer home in San Rafael and lived in San Francisco with his family during the winter months.
The funeral was held Sunday at the residence and was attended by a large gathering of friends and relatives from this county and from San Francisco. The floral tributes were beautiful and were banked solidly in two rooms of the Boyd residence during the ceremony.
The deceased is survived by a widow, Mrs. Margaret Kittle Boyd, and three children, Kittle, a son aged 21, now a student at the University of California, and two daughters, Jean aged 19, and Cynthia, aged 10. The remains were taken to San Francisco Monday by Dr. F. E. Sawyer for cremation. Mr. Boyd was 53 years of age.
