MARIE S. ROBINSON

A private service has been held for Marie W. Robinson, a longtime San Rafael resident and civic leader.

Mrs. Robinson, 79, died last Thursday after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Nebraska and came to California in 1926.

She was a life member and past president of the San Rafael Improvement Club. She also belonged to the Marin County Medical Society’s auxiliary and Catholic Social Services. She had been chairman of the fundraising drive for the Marin Music Chest and was active in Pro-America.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Nebraska Sod House Society and a member of St. Sylvester’s Church in San Rafael.

Surviving are two daughters, Lustre and Sherrill, and three grandchildren.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Soceity.
