Wealthy Woman Dies At Inverness

Mrs. Alice McKenzie Jones, wealthy Pacific Coast society leader, and widow of the late William Ogden Jones, Chicago capitalist, died suddenly Tuesday morning at Inverness, presumably of heart failure. She had been staying at the Burris home in Inverness for about six weeks, and intended to leave today for Los Angeles to visit her son, William E. Jones.

She is survived also by her children, Alexander Jones of North Carolina, and Mrs. Julia Adams of Vancouver, B.C.

Dr. F. E. Sawyer removed the remains to San Rafael Tuesday morning.

Mrs. Jones had spent the summers for many years at Inverness, and she divided her time the rest of the year among her children and at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
