GUY ‘GUIDO’ PENNA
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Church in Larkspur for Guy ‘Guido’ Penna of Larkspur.
Mr. Penna, 83, died Thursday at home.
He was a native of Murialdo, Italy, and came to California in 1906. He was raised in Santa Rosa and moved to Larkspur in 1941.
Mr. Penna owned the Deluxe Groceteria in San Francisco for many years until his retirement in 1971. He later worked for various supermarkets in Marin County.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Penna of Larkspur; a daughter, Rosemary U’Ren of San Anselmo; two sons, Will Penna of Santa Cruz and Paul Penna of Sebastopol; a brother, Alvin Penna Sr. of San Carlos; and three grandchildren.
Burial will be at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
The family prefers gifts to Hospice of Marin or the American Cancer Society.
