Marin Pioneer Goes to Reward

Charles F. Casarotti, a Marin county pioneer of half a century, passed away last Thursday at home in Petaluma, his residence since his removal from Nicasio a year and a half ago.

The end came after a long and successful life as a rancher. He had reared a large family of children, between whom and himself there was a tender bond of affection. His wife, whom he married 40 years ago, as Miss Celestina Filippini, passed away about a year ago. He was 71 years of age.

The following children survive: H. A. Casarotti of Chileno Valley; E. F. and R. A. Casarotti of Nicasio; A. P. and C. A., Camilla, Victoria and Olympia Casarotti of Petaluma; Mrs. V. J. Bloom of Olema and Mabel Casarotti of Olema. John V. Filippini of Nicasio is a brother-in-law of the deceased. There are five grandchildren.
