William Cross, known for half a century to residents of San Rafael and vicinity as “Billy” Cross, died last Sunday from complications induced by advanced age. He was 80 years old.
Cross had been employed as cook in a number of old time hostelries here and in several private families. For the past five years he had lived in Schuetzen Park.
The funeral was held Tuesday under the direction of Dr. F. E. Sawyer with services in the Catholic church. As far as is known, he is survived by no relatives.
