F. J. Ward Succumbs To Long Illness
Death came last Saturday to relieve the sufferings of F. J. Ward, for many years one of San Rafael’s leading grocers. A few months after he was stricken with a fatal illness and removed to a Napa county sanitarium, his wife, who remained here in charge of the business, was burned to death when she accidentally fell against a gas flame.
The remains were removed to San Diego for burial. The business now is under the management of Mr. Ward’s brother, who, several years ago was a partner of the deceased here.
